On March 5 2014, Middlesex University graduates who have generously contributed time to university initiatives gathered in London for an exclusive 'Alumni Ambassadors' networking event.
Hosted by the university's Alumni Relations team to say 'thank you' to Alumni Ambassadors for their incredible support, the invitation-only event at the Hoxton Hotel, Shoreditch, provided an opportunity to network and reminisce with old friends and make new acquaintances over food and drinks.
Over the last year, almost 200 Middlesex alumni have committed time towards supporting the University. Their help has taken a variety of forms, including participation in guest lectures or student recruitment events, the provision of work placements and careers advice to current students, as well as the contribution of alumni profiles.
Michaela Hopkins, Alumni Relations Manager at Middlesex University, said: "We are incredibly grateful for the fantastic generosity of our Alumni Ambassadors and can't thank them enough for their ongoing support, often long after they have graduated. This plays an essential role in helping us promote Middlesex University to future students and enabling both current students and recent graduates to reach their fullest potential.
"The evening at the Hoxton Hotel was designed to show our gratitude and give something back. We want to ensure our relationship with our graduates is mutually beneficial so hopefully the evening provided a valuable networking opportunity for all those in attendance.
"Whether promoting their work or business, connecting them with fellow alumni or offering them access to other benefits and services, the Alumni Association is here to help our graduates."
