Destination of leavers from Higher Education Survey

    08/01/2013

Employability ServiceDid you graduate this year?

Over the coming months, all recent graduates will be invited to take part in the Destination of Leavers from Higher Education Survey ('the DLHE Survey') - a census undertaken by every university on an annual basis.

The DLHE Survey focuses on what students do after graduation and records, in particular, their employment and salary outcomes.

Data from the DLHE Survey is incorporated into league tables, which are published and used in a number of ways - by students considering which university to attend and also by employers and statutory bodies who want to assess the impact that Middlesex University and its students have made.

    Last year's graduates

Information from the 2011-12 survey showed that even in this recessionary environment, Middlesex University graduates are proving that with the right degree and the right support they can secure the job they want when they graduate.

Our 2012 graduates have achieved some particularly good employment outcomes:

    • 94% of our graduates who studied on a full-time basis with our School of Health & Education were in work six months after graduation
    • 97% of our graduates who studied on a part-time basis with our School of Media & Performing Arts were in work six months after graduation
    • 90% of our graduates who studied on a part-time basis with our Business School were in work six months after graduation

    How can you take part?

You will receive a postal questionnaire and a link via email in the next couple of months. If you are able to complete the survey straight away – because you know how you will be employed in January 2014 – then please do so.

If you are unable to respond by post or email then we will telephone you in January 2014. For this reason please do make sure that we have the most up-to-date contact details for you by emailing your current home and email address as well as your telephone number to c.yates@mdx.ac.uk.
