A theatre company established by Middlesex University graduate Craig Postlethwaite is offering budding and seasoned theatre professionals the opportunity to get involved in the creation, production and performance of its show at the 2015 Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Following the launch of its website in March, Crowd Anthem will effectively 'crowd source' play submissions and would-be performers, before offering members of the general public the opportunity to play an active role in the show's 'page to stage' journey through an X-Factor style vote-off.
Before casting their vote, visitors to the company's website will have an opportunity to learn more about potential show concepts and cast members through a series of blogs, video diaries and Q&A sessions.
Over the coming months the company will also be recruiting for candidates working across the theatrical spectrum and urging people to join its social media channels so they can remain informed about applications and deadlines.
"With Crowd Anthem, our intention is to create a united front that fuses collaborative working methods and corporate interest as to create new artistic and business opportunities, allowing us to provide informative and entertaining material for our audience, whilst also raising funds for good causes" said Craig, who graduated in 2009 with a BA Drama and Theatre Arts degree.
"Hopefully the response to the end product at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival will enable us to expand our concept for audience-led show production and provide those working in the theatre with access to a steady stream of future creative opportunities."
Crowd Anthem is also interested in identifying possible advertisers and sponsors so if you think you can help, please get in touch.
