Welcome to the Faculty of Arts and Creative Industries. We are a creative community, led by practitioners in the creative industries, who inspire and challenge our students in a friendly, inclusive and practice-led environment.
Our teaching is underpinned by scholarship, innovative pedagogy, and leading research of national and international significance. In a broad and exciting portfolio of programmes ranging from Animation to Journalism, Fine Art to Digital Media, we emphasise creativity, interdisciplinary study, practical experience and the interrelation of practice and theory alongside the development of specialist and transferable skills, preparing graduates for work in the contemporary creative industries.
Our industry-standard facilities enable students and researchers to shape their disciplines using the most relevant equipment and technology, with full technical support. Collaboration is encouraged and supported at every level, across disciplines, organisations, structures and cultures.
Our work not only reflects, but through our graduates' employment and our staff engagement in consultancy and collaborative research, directly shapes arts and the creative industries. Industry links make sure that our curriculum, our facilities and our research remain at the leading edge of these fast-changing disciplines.
We are committed to putting our students first, by providing them with a creative environment that will prepare them for successful careers in their fields and will develop their critical thinking through doing and making.
