Teng Kuok Thuck graduated in International Business at Middlesex University after taking the decision to study abroad in one of the biggest and most vibrant cities in the world.
“London has it all! Studying abroad has always been a dream of mine, you get to expose yourself globally and develop different cultural understanding by immersing yourself in international experiences. It provided an opportunity to expand my view and help me understand more from a worldwide perspective.”
He also took advantage of Middlesex University’s employability service which supports it students with exclusive access to thousands of vacancies as well as 1:1 careers advice.
“I am so lucky to get a job in HSBC London (thanks to the Middlesex employment centre). As a part timer, I am now more open to new knowledge in the work place and always happy to work with people from different cultures.
Teng expressed that he adapted really well to the London working style and particularly enjoyed travelling and exploring on his days off.
“The working style might be different to Malaysia, but it was all good fun. In addition, I got the travel the world (literally)! As Middlesex is based in London, I got to spend my time travelling on weekends and was always back to school on Mondays.”
