Dee joined Middlesex University Business School in 2007 as a Senior Lecturer in Accounting and is currently involved in teaching Management Accounting modules. Previously she taught at Brunel University and has been instrumental in designing and lecturing both postgraduage and undergraduate courses in Financial Accounting, Financial Risk Management and Company Valuation and Performance. This follows her extensive professional career working for major multinational corporations including Wilkinson Swords, Dell Computers, ICI and THORN-EMI, in varied positions as management accountant, European financial accountant, financial analyst and financial controller. Trained and qualified as a Chartered Management Accountant, Dee is an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and was recently awarded Chartered Global Management Accountant. In parallel with her work experience, Dee obtained a Master of Science degree in Information Systems and a doctoral degree in Intellectual Capital from Brunel University. Her PhD thesis examined the impact of intangible resources on organisational performance and value creation. Her research interests are in innovation and value creation, corporate governance and the role of management accounting in performance evaluation.
