Dr Alexandra Beauregard joined the Department of Leadership, Work and Organisations in October 2015. Her research interests are centred on the interface between paid work and personal life, and her work addresses topics such as the causes and consequences of conflict between these two domains, the organisational and legislative contexts in which work-related responsibilities and personal commitments or characteristics interact, the outcomes of flexible working, and gender and diversity issues at work. Recent consultancy projects have included an evaluation of telework policy and practice at a large public sector organisation, and the design of a Gender Diversity Index for the private wealth management industry.
Prior to arriving at Middlesex University Business School, Dr Beauregard was Assistant Professor in Employment Relations and Organisational Behaviour at the London School of Economics' Department of Management, and Lecturer in Management (Organisational Behaviour and Human Resource Management) at the University of Surrey's Business School. She has also worked in social policy positions in the Government of Canada's Department of Industry, Department of Citizenship and Immigration, and the Canadian Human Rights Commission.

Dr Beauregard has previously developed and led a number of undergraduate, postgraduate, and summer school modules in both Organisational Behaviour and Diversity Management. Her teaching experience also includes modules in Human Resource Management, Managerial Psychology, Organisational Change, and Industrial Relations.
