Lizi studied for her undergraduate degree at the University of Wales Institute, Cardiff from 2008 to 2011, obtaining a first class honours in BSc Sports Biomedicine and Nutrition. She spent the summer after graduating working with a family in Russia helping their children lose weight with diet and exercise modifications.
She began her PhD at Coventry University in September 2011 and completed it in June 2014, titled: 'Fundamental Movement Skills, Physical Activity, Weight Status in British School Children'. While at Coventry she was a research assistant and associate lecturer until she moved to Middlesex University, where she began her first lectureship in September 2014.
Learning & Teaching Interests
Lizi currently teaches undergraduate physiology, teaching and coaching and research methods across all three levels.
