John Timberlake joined Middlesex University in 2007. A practising artist, he has exhibited widely and his work is held in a number of collections in Europe and the US. John Timberlake gained his Ph.D. in Fine Art from Goldsmiths College, University of London, and he is an alumnus of the Whitney Museum of American Art Independent Study Program.

John Timberlake is Programme Leader for the BA Fine Art in the School of Art & Design.
Research Outputs & Interests
John Timberlake has particular interest in Landscape, History and the Science Fiction Imaginary within the context of Fine Art practice. His studio practice has focussed on Photography, Painting, Drawing and Collage.
