Courses

Courses are divided into the following subject groups:

Business Information Systems
Business Information Systems provide the analysis and design of information systems for business and the application software to business and management problems, including data management, communications and office automation. Business Information Systems also support activities such as marketing, accounting, personnel, production, stock control and strategic management.

Computer Communications
Computer communications are at the heart of many ways of making our environment safer, more productive and more intelligible. The range of applications for which they can be used is potentially unlimited: wherever the fast, reliable transmission of potentially large amounts of data is an issue, it is likely that a computer communication system is playing a decisive role.

Computing and Multimedia Technology
Study in Computing and Multimedia Technology aims to ensure you graduate with a broad range of computing knowledge and skills, and the fundamentals of a human centred approach to software system design and evaluation.

Product Design and Engineering
The Product design and Engineering (PDE) department allows you to apply innovative approaches to design and technology in order to produce products of the future. The main focus of the department is designing, prototyping and manufacturing. You are encouraged to visualise your products from conception to production and to consider the creative and practical implications involved throughout the various stages of your product's development.

You are welcome to attend an Open Day or Open Evening where you will learn more about The School of Engineering and Information Sciences.
