- programme of weekly research seminars, including presentations by national and international visitors as well as members of the School
- commitment by both the University and the School to a continuing programme of energetic research expansion
- membership of the largest Computing School in London (and one of the largest in UK)
- part of a UK university with a large international student population
- a student-centred research management team dedicated to pursuing your individual interests and well-being.
Research in the School of Engineering and Information Sciences is organised into three broad domains:
- Human-computer interaction
- Algorithms, architecture and networks
- Software process, practice and design
Each of these domains comprises a number of research groups and a smaller number of research centres, which make it possible for staff and students with shared interests to exchange ideas, information and enthusiasms. Regular seminars are held by the School of Engineering and Information Sciences, the Artificial Intielligence Research Group, and the Interaction Design Centre. The public are welcome to attend seminars; contact the organiser of the particular seminar series.
