School of Health and Social Sciences

The School of Health and Social Sciences (HSSc) has a wide-ranging academic portfolio of educational courses with a well-established and longstanding reputation in Psychology, Social Sciences and Public Health Sciences. Many of our professionally accredited programmes have a vocational focus including work experience. Read more about HSSc.

We have established strong links with NHS Trusts and government organisations as well within our local communities, in addition to a wide range of UK, EU and international collaborative partners.

We have two campuses, Archway and Hendon. However teaching also takes place in Hospital sites across North London. We emphasise a creative and flexible approach to teaching, learning and research, receiving a high QAA scoring for Nursing and Midwifery.

Teaching and research training are underpinned by a lively research culture which involves both staff and students, focused around conferences, seminars, forums and other activities, together with lectures from eminent guest speakers. Read more about our Research options.
