Qualifications
Anne was a principal dancer with London Contemporary Dance Theatre for ten years, performing internationally in pieces choreograhed by the director Robert Cohan and the leading choreographers of that time. During her years with LCDT she performed in two Olympic Arts Festivals: Los Angeles 1984 and Seoul Korea 1988. In 1990, Anne was awarded a dancers resettlement fund to study alternative medicine; qualifying in anatomy and physiology, holistic aromatherapy and massage; later qualifying as a Gym and Fitness instructor.
Research Interests
Pedagogic strategies for developing the dance artist, with specific focus to the Robert Cohan method.

Biography
Anne Went was a principal dancer with London Contemporary Dance Theatre (1979-1990), performing in works choreographed by the director Robert Cohan and the leading choreographers of that time. During her years with LCDT she performed in two Olympic Arts Festivals: Los Angeles, 1984 and Seoul Korea, 1988. Upon leaving the company Anne taught the Cohan-based technique extensively throughout the country, joining the Middlesex staff in 1994. Between 1993 and 2001she was the Rehearsal Director and Company teacher of The National Youth Dance Company working alongside the Director, John Chesworth. Between 1998 -2001 she was a Director on the Executive Board of DanceUK.
