Dr Dan Tan

Dan is a very experienced acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine lecturer and practitioner. She studied acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine in China for a total of 11 years following some of the leading figures of the time. Dan took up her post at Middlesex University in 2003 transferring from Beijing University of Chinese Medicine (BUCM). Dan has lectured and presented at numerous conferences in countries around the world, including USA, UK, Korea, Germany, Italy, Denmark and Sweden.

Dan is a keen amateur photographer in her spare time with a special interest in photographing native plants and herbs in their natural environment. She is also interested in Chinese cooking and how it can be adapted and influenced by other world cuisines.
