Research Interests
Malcolm's research focuses on developments, education and training in the context of current changes in the domestic and global economy.
Teaching Interests
Malcolm's teaching is interdisciplinary (Sociology and Social Policy), focusing on core sociological theory modules (SOC 1000, Themes and Perspectives in Sociology; SOC 1502, Classical Sociological Theory, SOC 2000, Social Knowledges and Perspectives, SOC 3090, and Contemporary Social Theory (module leader)). Malcolm also teaches SPL 3050, Education and Social Policy (module leader), and SPL 3710, Social Inclusion.
