Biography

Dr. Hafiz Khan graduated in 1986 with a BSc (Hons) in Statistics from University of Chittagong in Bangladesh followed in 1987 with an MSc Statistics also from the same institution. In 1996, he received his PhD in Applied Statistics from Edinburgh Napier University, UK. During 2005-2006 he has conducted post-doctoral research in Gerontology at the Oxford Institute of Population Ageing, Oxford University, UK.

Dr. Khan joined Middlesex University Business School in January 2009 as a senior lecturer in applied statistics. Prior to joining Middlesex University, he has been a Research Fellow at the Oxford Institute of Population Ageing, University of Oxford (2006-2008).

Dr. Khan began his teaching career as a Lecturer in Statistics at the University of Dhaka in 1991 and has worked there as lecturer, assistant professor, associate professor as well as professor in statistics until 2005. He has also previously worked temporarily at International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA) in Austria, National University of Singapore, and Edinburgh Napier University in the UK.

Dr. Hafiz Khan is also a Visiting Research Fellow at the Oxford Institute of Population Ageing, University of Oxford, UK.
