Research Interests

  • Performance modelling of computer networks: To develop mathematical models to evaluate the performance of multi-server network systems. Recent work includes work on multi-server systems with break-downs, reconfiguration and rebooting delays, and various repair strategies such as first broken first repaired (or FCFS), round-robin, random, etc., and performance modelling of a multi-server system having MMPP arrivals. Already resulted in a couple of conference presentations/publications. More publications expected. Current work is on Quasi-Birth and Death Systems.
