Neural network applications Some of the research/application projects I have worked on in this area are: telecommunications fraud-detection (Telkom, South Africa); neural credit-scoring (Standard& Poor's, Abbey National, and others), cf. www.neuralt.com and www.creditmodel.com; purchasing decision support and optimisation (using linear programming) for a major UK horticultural retailer.
Data Mining I have worked on various data mining projects using SAS/Enterprise Miner (www.sas.com): call failure analysis (Vodafone), CRM/web-mining(Royal Mail), CRM/customer segmentation (Royal Bank of Scotland)
Computer Vision Automatic Number-Plate Recognition using neural networks with a leading UK manufacturer of traffic monitoring systems.
Natural Language Processing An Expert System for English-Urdu translation, developed with students in Pakistan.
