Project Director, Fully Focused
£30k funding over three years has been provided by the Home Office as part of their drive towards safer neighbourhoods - specifically against gun, knife, gang crimes. The fund is called "The Community Fund" Middlesex Uni has partnered up with Samafal - a third sector organisation based in Edmonton - to deliver a series of multimedia workshops to 36 young Somali women. The focus is on identity and how exploration of these themes can encourage young women towards more positive aspirations.
Project Manager, Cascade
Project valued at approx 180k over 12 months Funded partly by Skillset, Middlesex University and leading independent TV production companies Project will see 10 successful applicants win six months paid work experience at leading indies. They will also receive intensive training in e.g. camera skills, editing, research skills. This is a diversity course designed to help re-dress the imbalance in the TV industry.
