Research Interests
- Sex work
- Violence towards women, particularly within the context of prostitution
- Group therapeutic processes
- Facet Theory and its application in the human sciences, particularly Action Systems Theory
Teaching Interests
I currently teach on Skills and Methods in Criminology and Sociology; Crime in Late Modernity and Institutions of Criminal Justice.
I am interested in working with students who would like to further explore issues surrounding sex work, and particularly violence and sex work.
Biography
Recent examples of research include:
- 2010, Contract research for the evaluation of an outreach programme in North London
- 2010, Contract research for an evaluation of the London programmes introduced by Against Violence & Abuse to help mothers and children who have been victims of domestic violence
