Promote your organisation
You can make the most of the Middlesex University recruitment market by advertising your opportunities on JobsPlus online , adding your details to our employer database, attending Careers Fairs and Forums, giving presentations to student groups, having an information stand on campus at specific times of the year and offering placements.
We can also make use of printed publicity in our careers library and display area. And it may also be possible to arrange your selection interviews on campus.
Careers fairs and employer events
Over the academic year, we organise targeted careers events on our campuses. Feedback suggests that these events are highly effective and cost efficient ways of introducing students and graduates to your company or organisation. They are a great opportunity to meet students about to enter the graduate jobs market.
Careers Fairs: Our main events are a general careers fair in November, a Social and Voluntary Sector fair in February, and a general recruitment event in May, held at our Hendon campus. These attract large numbers of students. We also run subject specfic events.
Careers Forums: These are organised during the year at which a panel of specialist speakers give information on their sector and career opportunities to students. Topics have included Accountancy, IT and Law.
Presentations and workshops: We are very happy to help you speak directly to our students, with a session focused on general careers information or recruitment or skills development, possibly with a specific group or programme area.
If your business or organisation is interested in participating in our careers events, please contact us on 0208 411 5523 or email careers@mdx.ac.uk. We can also send you further information about employing our students and graduates and discuss any queries you may have. Note that for larger careers fairs there will normally be some charges.
The university teaching year runs from late September to April. When planning recruitment drives, it is advisable to avoid the main exam period in early May.
Placements
If your organisation is interested in offering a work placement to students who undertake this as a formal part of their degree programme, please contact one of our placement administrators.
