EcoStep Award – A unique environmental award for businesses

EcoStep offers Middlesex University accredited recognition for organisations evaluating and improving their environmental performance.

This award is based upon a unique system of self-assessment; whereby organisations evaluate themselves and provide evidence of their performance to the assessing body (CESMB). If the assessment complies with the award criteria, and demonstrates the organisation’s continued improvement of their environmental performance, the organisation will be issued with a Certificate of Environmental Commitment along with the use of the award logo.

The award is offered in 3 stages: Bronze Silver and Gold and organisations have the option to request an external audit following a successful self-assessment (for bronze and silver stages). For the Gold stage, an external assessment is mandatory.

The award recognises the difficulties that the Small and Medium sized organisations face in achieving environmental awards namely time, money and resources and aims to fill this gap by offering a more sustainable solution.
