Here at Middlesex University we have worked with many businesses and helped their employees enhance their skills and increase productivity and efficiency. Below are some examples of the businesses we have worked with and how we have helped them.


Safer London Foundation

Mixed methodologies were utilised to assess the Safer London Foundation work as a grant making trust, a training provider and major partner in the delivery of police community engagement as well as one of their charities that they have funded. The School has also, provided evaluation services - Three different evaluations - to asses the Safer London Foundation work with bereaved victims of crime.


 

Training for the front-line children's workforce staff 

Middlesex University developed a bespoke training programme with  Children's Services Hackney, Training for the front-line children's workforce staff within London Borough of Hackney comprising 2 modules, which enabled their staff to attend a rolling programme of 17 workshops run by a multi-disciplinary group of staff within the University.


Kemico Ltd

Andy Martone from Kemico Ltd has embarked on our IOSH Managing Safely course in Feb 2010. "Up to this point in my career my main duties and responsibilities within my organisation involved the pursuit of sales. Following internal re-organisation I took on responsibility of our Factory. Health and Safety is paramount in today’s commercial sector and I felt it was my duty to bring myself up to speed with occupational safety and awareness of health risks."


 

River of Flowers project


The Archway Herbal Clinic, a partner of Middlesex University, launched the  River of Flowers project with community groups in December 2008, aiming to bring wildflowers back to cities. Its objectives include planting and mapping wildflowers in 'pollination streams' or 'green corridors' to help pollinators find forage in the city.


 

A Professional Coaching Programme

The London Sport Institute worked in partnership with Linking London to develop short, accredited courses (under 120 credits) at HE level 4. The courses were to be a new provision, be accessible to employers/employees and support a large workforce with a different learning experience.

  


Migrant and minority community organisations

MODA (Migrant Organisation’s Development Agency) commissioned Middlesex University a research project about funding and resources available to migrant and minority organisations in London.
