Non medical prescribing

Non-medical prescribing

This affordable series of competency based CPD sessions are aimed at all qualified independent, supplementary and community practitioner non medical prescribers. This generic provision aims to assist all prescribers in maintaining competency in prescribing in line with their professional bodies’ requirements. For details download the course flyer.

Innovative teaching

In order to promote the integration of theory to practice, active teaching strategies are employed and there is a strong emphasis on group work and competency based activities. This includes quizzes, interactive DVDs and group activities including scenarios applicable to the participants’ background.

Flexible CPD study days

To provide maximum flexibility in releasing staff study days can be attended in any order to suit your learning needs analysis and each session runs twice a year. Each option lasts for 3 hours and two options can be combined to form a full study day if wished.  These study days will be at the Archway campus. However, bespoke provision can be arranged in house by prior arrangement. Delegates are required to bring a calculator, and current BNF/NPF. Certificates of attendance will be given for inclusion in the portfolio.

As this is a professional requirement, demand for places can be high and you are encouraged to book well in advance.
