Become a partner
Middlesex University is a market leader in the provision of transnational education. We have been delivering high quality Middlesex programmes to students around the world for over 20 years and are proud to have developed an impressive network of international collaborative partnerships and a bustling Middlesex campus in Dubai. Our international strategy is designed to build upon our success by seeking to provide significantly more opportunities for students to study globally recognised Middlesex programmes in the countries in which they live and work.
We recognise that each of our partners is unique, with diverse operational needs and strategic aspirations, and we plan our collaborative arrangements accordingly. The most common types of partnerships we deal in are as follows:
Articulation
An articulation agreement is a formal arrangement that enables successful students from an identified course at your institution to gain automatic entry to and advanced standing towards a named undergraduate degree programme at Middlesex. The entry criteria and level of credits to be transferred are pre-determined under the agreement.
For an articulation agreement with Middlesex, your institution will need to provide information to Middlesex University’s Articulation Board for its consideration.
The Centre for International Education will be happy to provide advice and guide you through the process. For detailed information about our procedures for approving Articulation Agreements, please refer to Middlesex University’s Learning and Quality Enhancement Handbook.
Your local Middlesex University Regional Offices will be available to support your application and provide in-country support. As an articulating partner, you will also have the services of a link contact in London to co-ordinate and develop our relationship.
Progression
A progression agreement is a formal arrangement that facilitates the movement of students from pre-degree or preparatory studies at your institution onto the initial stage of an undergraduate degree programme at Middlesex. Entry criteria are pre-determined. Under these agreements, no academic credit from prior study transfers or contributes towards the credit required for the Middlesex qualification.
The Centre for International Education will be happy to provide initial advice and guide you through the process. Your local Middlesex University regional offices will be available to help you with your application and provide in-country support.
Study Abroad
Study Abroad Programme welcomes students from international partner institutions and third-party-providers to take classes at Middlesex over a summer, term (semester) or full year. Study Abroad students study alongside Middlesex students in London and are fully integrated into the University. Successful students receive their results by means of an official Middlesex University academic transcript. Their results often translate into academic credit granted by the home institution.
Students are required to pay the Middlesex study abroad tuition fee via our partner institution.
The Centre for International Education will be happy to provide initial advice and guide you through the process. Your local Middlesex University Regional Offices will be available to help you with your application and provide in-country support.
We also offer:
- Validated programmes
- Franchise programmes
- Joint-degree programme
- Bespoke
Our partnerships are strongly supported by our academic teams in London and our Centre for International Education incorporating our dedicated Collaborative Partnerships Office. Support is not just provided from London however. Middlesex has a network of Regional Offices across the world which the 2006 QAA Overseas Quality Audit report described as providing “a high level of consistent local support to staff and students”. Our aim is to work together with our partners to provide a student learning experience for our transnational students equivalent to that of Middlesex students studying in London.
