This three-day course is designed for anyone with a desire to learn more about creating motion graphics using Motion 5.

Apple's professional applications are the industry standard for photographers, editors, sound designers, visual effects and multimedia artists. MAP@MDX offers accredited courses in two of its leading software packages - Final Cut Pro and Motion 5.

Taught by experienced educators with in depth industry experience, these courses are interactive and enable participants to put into practice what they learn. Upon completion of our Apple courses and the accompanying examinations, you are eligible to join Apple’s searchable registry of certified professionals.

On this course, you will begin by learning the fundamentals of motion graphics before moving on to compositing, animation and the world of 3D. You will explore new intelligent templates that enable quick and flexible creation of high-quality effects, titles, transitions, and generators. You will also learn how to create rigs to adjust related parameters with a single control.

What will you study on Apple: Motion 5 - An Introduction?

This module will cover the following areas:

  • Creating smart motion templates
  • Publishing smart motion templates to Final Cut Pro X
  • Creating parameter rigs to adjust parameters with a single control
  • Understanding behaviour-based animation
  • Using keyframes to create animation
  • Creating content with generators, shapes and paint strokes
  • Stabilising and tracking media
  • Animating cameras and using advanced 3D features.

Upon completion of the course, you will have a good understanding of motion graphics fundamentals, compositing, animation and the world of 3D.

To enrol on this course, you must have knowledge of Mac OS X and basic computer navigation. Basic knowledge of editing terminology is highly recommended.
