Designed for editors, assistant editors and multimedia producers, this three-day course will enable you to continue to build the necessary knowledge to distinguish yourself as a true editing professional.
With a focus on long-form work, where you might be part of a bigger team of specialists, you will learn the skills you need to automate the ingest process using Dynamic Media Folders and organise your media, metadata and settings. You will learn about colour management, how to work with scripts, and using surround sound.
The course also covers some advanced compositing techniques using the Paint Tools, AniMatte™, SpectraMatte™, and the Avid Tracker.

Upon completion of the programme you will have an expert knowledge of Media Composer’s advanced editing functionality. When combined with Media Composer — Professional Editing I (MC201), you will gain the training required for Avid’s Professional Media Composer Certification.
To enrol on this course, you must have successfully completed Avid: Media Composer – Editing Essentials (MC101) and Avid: Media Composer – Effects Essentials (MC110) or have the equivalent of 12 months’ experience of full-time editing using Media Composer.
Completion of Avid: Media Composer – Professional Editing I (MC201) is also strongly recommended, as is a background in editing, assistant editing, directing or producing.
