This five-day course combines Pro Tools 11: An Introduction and Pro Tool: Production 1. You learn the basics of recording, editing and mixing before moving on to the principles of elastic audio, automation and managing session data.

Upon completion, you will be able to operate Pro Tools effectively and will receive Pro Tools User Certification.

  • Making your first audio recording
  • Importing media into your session
  • Making your first MIDI recording
  • Selecting and navigating
  • Applying basic and mixed editing techniques
  • Finishing your work
  • Creating Music and Post hands-on projects
  • Configuring your studio and session
  • Controlling Pro Tools using external controllers
  • Managing session data and media files
  • Using loop recording and advanced techniques to record MIDI and audio
  • Working with Time Scales and Virtual Instruments
  • Working with Avid Elastic Audio
  • Editing and quantising MIDI and audio
  • Using audio editing and file management techniques
  • Applying editing techniques (e.g. clip loops)
  • Enabling, playing, viewing and editing automation data
  • How to mix using sends, returns, plug-ins, master faders and groups.

Upon successful completion of the course examination, you will receive Pro Tools User Certification.

To enrol on this course, you must already have completed Pro Tools 11: An Introduction.
