Taught by experienced practitioners and lecturers at our state-of-the-art London campus, this course will equip you with the knowledge and skills to obtain a V150 NMC recordable qualification and be able to prescribe from community practitioner formulary as appropriate to your area of practice.
Delivered through a combination of study days and supervised practice, this course ensures that you not only advance your knowledge and skills base but receive opportunities to apply it within your area of practice. Through a series of lectures, seminars and workshops you will explore a wide range of skills and theories that meet the current legislation and local and national policy, including prescribing for children, the effects of co-morbidity, consultation, therapy, the legal issues relevant to prescribing practice, and professional accountability.
Armed with these valuable skills you will not only enhance your practice and career prospects in district nursing, health visiting, school nursing, and community paediatric nursing, but obtain academic credits at Level 6 to put towards further study if you wish.
