For admission to most undergraduate courses, you'll need to have completed one of the following:
Students with only the Certificado de Ensino Medio may be considered for the International Foundation Programme. Students who take the International Foundation Programme at Middlesex University will automatically progress onto a Middlesex University degree course upon successful completion of the programme.
You'll also need to satisfy our standard English language requirements.
You may be considered for advanced entry to undergraduate degree courses if you have completed a period of study at university. Please contact the Regional Team for more details.
For general admission onto most postgraduate courses, you'll be expected to hold a good Bacharel/Licenciado/Professional Title – of at least four years – from a recognised institution in a subject relevant to your proposed postgraduate study.
We would generally expect you to have achieved a minimum grade of 6.5. Each course will have specific grade requirements and prerequisites. You can find full details within the specific course information page.
You must also satisfy our standard English language requirements.
If you're interested in a research degree, or are interested in applying to a degree field that does not allow online applications, please contact us for the appropriate postgraduate application form.
If you're a talented student, you may be eligible for either our Regional or International Merit Award, which rewards students with up to £2,000 towards course fees for all taught undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
We also have a limited number of £5,000 Academic Excellence Scholarship Awards available to North and South American students who have demonstrated high levels of academic excellence in their previous studies.
Finally we also have a limited number of £5,000 Santander Academic Excellence Awards available towards course fees for the first year of study for Latin American students who have demonstrated academic excellence.
Students are only eligible to receive one scholarship award. The awards are for full undergraduate or postgraduate degree courses. Students must have applied to Middlesex and received an offer before they can apply for any of these scholarship awards.
At Middlesex, we want to recognize your heritage. Students from North and South America who have dual citizenship from an EU country are eligible for the EU Heritage Scholarship. This award allows students to pay EU fees rather than international fees for the full duration of the programme.
Middlesex University is delighted to have been selected as one of the UK institutions to participate in the Brazilian Scientific Mobility (Ciencia sem Fronteiras) programme, a Brazilian Government scholarship scheme designed to bring up to 10,000 Brazilian students to the UK over four years.
The scheme allows successful candidates to receive a scholarship to study with us for one year, either as an undergraduate or PhD student. Interested students need to have already applied for, and been awarded, a scholarship from Ciencia sem Fronteiras in Brazil. Further information on what's included, how to apply and eligible courses can be found on our Brazilian Scientific Mobility Programme page.
The Chevening Scholarship scheme offers financial support to study for a Master's degree in the UK in the following fields:
A Chevening scholarship includes: a monthly stipend, travel to and from your country via an approved route, an arrival and excess baggage allowance, a thesis or dissertation grant, the cost of an entry clearance visa and tuition fees to a limit of £12,000.
You can also apply to a variety of private agencies and charities for scholarships, bursaries and grants to study in the UK. For more information visit the British Council website or the UK Council for International Student Affairs website.
