At Middlesex, you’ll join a truly global community with students from 122 nationalities and campuses in London, Dubai and Mauritius.

We don’t think there is anywhere better to be an international student than Middlesex University but don’t take our word for it and hear from some of our international students about their experience at Middlesex.

    • Academic and English language requirements

      Undergraduate entry requirements

      For entry to most undergraduate courses, you must have completed either:

      • Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) and a recognised one-year foundation programme
      • GCE A-levels
      • AVCE (GNVQ)
      • BTEC
      • University of Ghana/University of Science and Technology Diploma

      If you have only completed the SSCE you may be considered for our one-year International Foundation Programme. Students who successfully complete the one-year International Foundation at Middlesex will automatically progress onto a Middlesex degree.

      Each course will have specific grade requirements and some will have prerequisites, such as prior study in a specific subject or submission of a portfolio. Full details can be found within the specific course information page.

      You must also meet our standard English Language Requirements. If you don't meet these, we offer a Pre-sessional English course.

      Postgraduate entry requirements

      For most postgraduate courses, you must have completed a good Bachelor Degree, equivalent to a British second class honours degree.

      Some courses will have prerequisites, such as prior study in a specific subject, work-experience or the submission of a portfolio. Full details can be found within the specific course information page.

      Our MBA courses require at least two years of post-graduation work experience at management level, and in some cases a GMAT score of over 550 will also be required.

      You must also meet our standard English Language Requirements. If you don't meet our English language requirements, we offer a Pre-sessional English course.

    • Visa information

      The following requirements must be met in order for your visa application to be successful:

      Middlesex requirements

      • Attend our visa preparation webinar hosted by our International Student Advice team
      • Attend and successfully pass a screening interview with your Regional Office
      • Attend and successfully pass a visa preparation interview with the International Student Advice team
      • Submit finance documents to Middlesex
      • Pay your tuition fee deposit

      Once you have completed the above items successfully, a CAS will be issued.

      UKVI requirements

      • Submit an online application through the UKVI website. You will need to submit your valid CAS, payment of the visa fee and immigration health surcharge
      • Upload the relevant supporting documents (passport, academic documents, evidence of meeting or being exempt from English language requirements, evidence of meeting financial requirements, ATAS certificate if required, TB test certificate if required)
      • Biometric data collected at the visa application center

      Successful applicants will receive an Entry Clearance vignette in their passport and will be able to collect their Biometric Residence permit in the UK.
