At Middlesex University, we offer more than a world-class education. It is our ambition to equip you with the in-depth knowledge and transferable skills you will need for life after graduation. This commitment is one of the reasons over 90% of our students are in employed or in further study within six months of graduation. We've also invested more than £200 million in our north London campus to give you access to the same industry-standard facilities you'll be using later on in your career. Within this vibrant environment, you'll find inspiration amongst a community of students, staff and alumni from all over the world.
We're proud to have welcomed students from Pakistan to Middlesex University for many years. A large number of these graduates have achieved positions of responsibility in government, business and industry after studying with us.
Pakistani students join us at postgraduate level, and popular subjects range from Human Resource Management, Finance, Marketing, MBA, LLM and LLM Law; to Biomedical Science, Engineering, and Information Technology – and much, much more.
As part of the current Tier 4 visa regime, prospective students face robust questions about their destination, limits on their ability to work and tighter rules on their English-language capability. Some countries have recently been experiencing very high rates of unsuccessful visa applications. We share concerns already raised with UKVI by Universities UK about the grounds sometimes being used to fail applicants.
In response to these market conditions and to manage the ongoing quality and caliber of our international student intake, recruitment process and associated visa refusal rate, we have decided that we will only be recruiting postgraduate students from Pakistan for September 2017 entry.
Please note there is no impact for current Middlesex students already studying in the UK
