If you have any questions about entry requirements and the suitability of your qualifications, please contact your regional team.
You must meet our standard English Language Requirements.
If you don't meet these, we offer a Pre-sessional English course. By the end of the course you will have the academic English and confidence to study on a Middlesex degree. And, you won't need to take any further English language tests, such as IELTS. You can find the start dates and fees for our Pre-sessional English courses on the Pre-sessional course page.
We also provide English language support throughout your degree programme. We run free workshops and one-to-one tutorials in academic writing, English language, and communication so you can continue to improve your English skills while you study with us.
For entry to most undergraduate courses, you must have successfully completed either:
Each course will have specific grade requirements and some will have prerequisites, such as prior study in a specific subject or submission of a portfolio. Full details can be found within the specific course information page.
If you don't meet our entry criteria, you may be considered for our one-year International Foundation Programme or Foundation Year courses. Students who successfully complete a foundation course at Middlesex will automatically progress onto a Middlesex degree. The entry requirement for these courses is a High School Graduation Diploma with GPA of 3.0.
If you have achieved a Foundation Degree, CertHE, DipHE, HNC, HND or a number of modules of an undergraduate degree course at another university, you may be able to enter directly into the second or third year of one of our undergraduate degree courses as a transfer student.
For most postgraduate courses, you must have completed a good Bachelor degree from a recognised institution equivalent to a British second class honours degree, preferably with a second class (2.8+ GPA).
Some courses will have prerequisites, such as prior study in a specific subject, work-experience or the submission of a portfolio. Full details can be found within the specific course information page.
If you're a talented student, you may be eligible for either our Regional or International Merit Award, which rewards students with up to £2,000 towards course fees for all taught undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
We also have a limited number of £5,000 Academic Excellence Scholarship Awards available to North and South American students who have demonstrated high levels of academic excellence in their previous studies.
Finally we also have a limited number of £5,000 Santander Academic Excellence Awards available towards course fees for the first year of study for Latin American students who have demonstrated academic excellence.
Students are only eligible to receive one scholarship award. The awards are for full undergraduate or postgraduate degree courses. Students must have applied to Middlesex and received an offer before they can apply for any of these scholarship awards.
