Each course will have specific grade requirements and some will have prerequisites, such as prior study in a specific subject or submission of a portfolio. Full details can be found within the specific course information page.
Students must also meet our standard English Language Requirements. We accept a minimum grade C at O levels, as evidence of your English language ability for most undergraduate programmes. If you don't meet these, we offer a Pre-sessional English course.
If you have achieved a Foundation Degree, CertHE, DipHE, HNC, HND or a number of modules of an undergraduate degree course at another university, you may be able to enter directly into the second or third year of one of our undergraduate degree courses as a transfer student.

For most postgraduate courses, you must have completed a good Bachelor degree, equivalent to a British second class honours degree from a recognised university.

Our MBA courses require at least two years of post-graduation work experience at management level, and in some cases a GMAT score of over 550 will also be required.
All applicants must demonstrate competence in the use of the English Language. Grade "C" at "O" level in English Language are mandatory requirements. If you have not met these grades then you must obtain a grade 6.5 in IELTS, or equivalent, for all postgraduate programmes with the exception of the LLM, which requires 7.0 IELTS, or equivalent.
A lower-second class degree from a recognized university is a minimum requirement. This applies to all postgraduate programmes (MSc, MA, MPhil) with the exception of the MBA.
Work experience following an undergraduate degree is not a mandatory requirement. However, relevant work experience will be taken into account where a change from subjects at undergraduate level to postgraduate level is necessary. For further information contact the Kenya regional office.
For the prestigious MBA programme, all candidates must satisfy stringent criteria, which includes, a minimum lower second class degree from a recognized university, a minimum of three years of work experience at middle-management after undergraduate study and demonstration of an ability to able to undertake the demanding programme.
Credit for prior study is not normally given for Postgraduate study.
