International student applications

International studentsMiddlesex has one of the most diverse student bodies of any UK university with more than ten per cent of our students coming from countries in Africa, Asia, Europe and the Americas.  Our British students mainly come from London and the surrounding area and reflect London’s cosmopolitan nature and ethnic diversity.  Wherever you are from, you can find your place at our university.

We know that coming to study in a foreign country can be a daunting experience.  To help you, we have a range of dedicated services.  These include: regional offices in your area to guide you; a visa and immigration advisor; a Money Welfare and International Advice Service to support you when you are with us; and a guaranteed place in University accommodation for international students starting in September.

We have an extensive network of 21 regional offices across the globe dedicated to helping international students and developing local academic partnerships. We were one of the first UK universities to set up such a network and we now have the largest.  All our regional offices are staffed by skilled and experienced counsellors, giving unrivalled insights into the needs and aspirations of international students. They can answer all of your questions about Middlesex and advise throughout the Middlesex application process.
Regional offices offer the following services:

  • Advice and counselling to students and their parents on all aspects of studying at Middlesex.
  • Information and practical details about living in the UK.
  • Interviews and advice on the likely success of an application.
  • Pre-departure briefings.
  • Guidance on applying for the appropriate course.
  • Assistance with visa applications.
  • Help with securing a place in university halls of residence.

Support before you begin your studies

We have a range of support in place to get you ready for your study with us.  If your English ability needs improving then you can join one of our dedicated English courses to prepare you for studying in English.  If you think  you require wider preparation you could join one of our year-long foundation courses to improve your English language and develop the skills required for academic study in a UK university.
