Middlesex University offers the UK’s most comprehensive range of postgraduate work-based professional practice degrees. Pioneered by Middlesex during the early 1990's, work based learning enables practitioners to integrate university level studies with their job.
We were awarded a Queen's Prize for Excellence and Innovation for work based learning and have also been recognised as a Centre of Excellence in the field of teaching and learning by the Higher Education Funding Council for England. Our innovative provision is supported by the work of the Middlesex University Work Based Learning Research Centre.

Professional Doctorates
The Middlesex University Institute for Work Based Learning is an internationally acknowledged pioneer in the development and provision of professional doctorate programmes. The University provides a number of professional doctorates including the DProf, the DProf by Public Works and the Doctor of Business Administration (DBA). The DProf and DBA are designed for senior practitioners looking to place themselves at the centre of their own practice-based research, whilst the DProf by Public Works is for innovative individuals who have already made a substantial contribution to their field.
