You are eligible to apply if you are a UK/EU student from any university who has achieved a 2:1 or above in your first degree. Current international Middlesex University students and international students who have already graduated from Middlesex can also apply.
Up to £2,000

All International students are eligble to apply. Awards will be given on a case-by-case basis which will be dependent on your course and application.
20% of the tuition fee
Postgraduate student in any subject
Available to all applicants who have completed a first degree with Middlsex University and have an offer for a taught masters course. The bursary applies to self-financing students and students who are not eligible for funding from Student Finance England.
For those starting a course in January 2014 we are offering ten scholarships worth 50% of the Masters fee for the most talented students.
The scholarship is open to all UK/EU applicants, in addition to international applicants who are either current Middlesex undergraduate students (at all Middlesex campuses) or else have graduated from Middlesex University previously. We are looking for students who can demonstrate excellence academically and/or professionally and the potential to succeed. We will be assessing applications according to the following criteria:
- Prior academic achievement
- Professional experience
- Commendations, prizes and awards you have received
- Your vision for your future, and how the course will help you achieve this
- Other information (e.g. extra-curricular activity, leadership experience, volunteering, mentoring)
The scholarship will be awarded as a 50% reduction of the postgraduate tuition fee and applied on enrolment.
How to apply
All applicants must have achieved or are expected to achieve a 2.1 or 1st class honours in their first degree. You are required to have applied to Middlesex University for an eligible postgraduate programme of study at our London campus before your application can be assessed.
The deadline for Deans' Academic Excellence Scholarship applications to study courses commencing in January 2014 is 18 October 2013.
Open to all international students - worth up to £2000
Middlesex University is renowned for offering unrivalled support to International students and gives out scholarships and merit awards to International students totalling around £1,000,000 each year.
Potential postgraduate international students are eligible to apply for an International Merit Award of up to £2000 towards their fees. There is no separate application for this award; international students should apply for their chosen course through the normal application process. Awards will be given on a case-by-case basis which will be dependent on your course and application. Successful candidates will be notified at the point of offer for a programme of study and the award amount will be deducted from their tuition fees.
NB: Research students are not eligible for the International Merit Award.
Up to 20% reduction in postgraduate course fees for Middlesex graduates
This year we are offering a reduction of up to 20% in postgraduate tuition fees for Middlesex Alumni. There is no application process for your alumni bursary. Please apply for your programme as normal and highlight that you are an alumni during the admissions process to ensure the bursary is applied.
The Alumni Bursary of 20% is available to UK/EU students who completed their first degree at Middlesex and have an offer for a further taught Masters programme here. The bursary applies to self-financing students and students not eligible for funding from Student Finance England.
International (i.e. outside of the EU) alumni, not already receiving an International Merit Award or regional award, may be eligible to receive a 10% reduction in tuition fees when progressing to postgraduate study at Middlesex. Find out more from your nearest regional office.

The David Caminer Postgraduate Scholarship for Computing Science (Supported by the Leo Foundation and AIT Trust)
This generous £5,000 postgraduate scholarship is available to one UK postgraduate student each year. The scholarships will be available to students who have demonstrated excellent academic potential. Applications are welcome from students who have fulfilled the admission criteria and been offered a place to study for a postgraduate degree based in the School of Science & Technology. A student will only be entitled to one award during his/her period of study with Middlesex University. Winning students will be invited to the Scholarships & Awards ceremony on Thursday 14th November 2013.
Deadline: Wednesday 31st July 2013
This £5,000 award is available to an undergraduate photography student who has achieved a 2:1 or above and wishes to study on the MA Photography programme at Middlesex University. Applications are welcome from students who have been offered (conditional or unconditional) and accepted a place on the MA Photography programme. You will need your tutor, teacher or mentor to nominate you for this award to ensure you are on track. Winning students will be invited to the Scholarships & Awards ceremony on Thursday 14th November 2013.
This award is available to 2 Middlesex undergraduate photography students who have achieved a 2:1 or above and wish to progress onto the MA Photography programme at Middlesex University. You will need your tutor, teacher or mentor to also nominate you for this award to ensure you are on track. Middlesex University Alumni who apply are also eligible for the Alumni Bursary (10% fee discount) but they cannot hold the Academic Alumni Scholarship (20% fee discount). The award will be made annually to two students up to the value of £2,000 each. You will need your tutor, teacher or mentor to nominate you for this award to ensure you are on track. Winning students will be invited to the Scholarships & Awards ceremony on Thursday 14th November 2013.
A £3,000 scholarship, funded by friends and alumni of Middlesex, is available to students applying for entry to MSc Health Psychology as a full-time student for September 2013. The scholarship will be awarded to an applicant who demonstrates exemplary academic and/or professional achievement or potential. Applications are welcome from students who have been offered (conditional or unconditional) and accepted a place on the MSc Health Psychology programme. Students who receive a scholarship from another organisation cannot apply. Middlesex University alumni who apply are also eligible for the Alumni Bursary (10% fee discount) but they cannot also hold the Academic Alumni Scholarship (20% fee discount). The scholarship is in the form of a discount in tuition fees (paid in the first year of study). Winning students will be invited to the Scholarships & Awards ceremony on Thursday 14th November 2013.
Deadline: Friday 30th August 2013 (Successful candidates will be notified by 6th September 2013)
This gold standard scholarship allows a high achieving student who is a permanent resident in Hong Kong the opportunity to study full time for a one-year masters programme in a Design discipline at Middlesex University in London. The student will be assessed on their design skills and ability by our academic staff in London and our Regional Director in Hong Kong. The scholarship will fund tuition fees and living expenses in London for the duration of the programme. Winning students will be invited to the Scholarships & Awards ceremony on Thursday 14th November 2013.
This scholarship has been made available through support from the Luck Hille Foundation. The award will be made annually to three students up to the value of £2,000 each. We welcome applications from athletes who are able to demonstrate a significant achievement in their chosen sport, and who can also provide a strong case for the benefit that the scholarship will make in enabling them to pursue their sporting ambitions. This will need to be submitted alongside two written references relevant to your application (e.g. from tutors or coaches) and copies of any relevant certificates. Winning students will be invited to the Scholarships & Awards ceremony on Thursday 14th November 2013.

The Middlesex University Food Safety Prize is available to an undergraduate or postgraduate Environmental Health student who has demonstrated excellent academic potential and achieved the highest mark in their Food Safety exam. The first award will be offered in July 2013 and each summer thereafter, with one student receiving a £100 cash award each year. You will need your tutor, teacher or mentor to nominate you for this award to ensure you are on track. Winning students will be invited to the Scholarships & Awards ceremony on Thursday 14th November 2013.

• The award is only for the first year of undergraduate or postgraduate study.
• Postgraduate applicants must have completed their degree at an accredited institution.
• Students must have received an unconditional offer to study at Middlesex in London to be eligible.
• Due to anticipated demand, students must accept the scholarship and offer within two weeks of receiving notification, or scholarship will be offered to another student.
• The scholarship will be awarded as a £5,000 reduction in tuition fee and applied upon enrolment.
• 11 x £5,000 scholarships will be awarded each year from 2013-15.
