Part-time study

One in three people in the UK choose to study on a part-time basis. A flexible option that allows you to combine work with study, our inspiring selection of part-time postgraduate courses gives you the skills and knowledge you need to progress in your career.

We understand that your circumstances may change during your time with us, which is why we also offer all our students the opportunity to move easily between full and part-time study.

Studying on a part-time basis  allows you to experience the financial – and career – benefits from continued employment.

Easier for you – and your employer

A part-time course fee is usually less of a personal burden. Even better, many employers provide sponsorship, meaning you can improve your career prospects without needing to take a break from work.

Studying in this way also means you can apply your academic learning directly to your work, which can lead to further progress in your understanding of your studies.

Part-time study, full-time benefits

At Middlesex University, you'll enjoy all the resources available to full-time students. We also provide extra support through our vast online learning resource, which includes many key journals.

Your tutors are contactable by email as well as in person, and we have an extensive support network to help you manage your work and commitments.

Working your study around your schedule

You can select the modules you would like to focus on when you start your course. At this point, you'll know how much of your time must be spent on campus during the term, making it very easy for your employer to work around your study.

You can reduce the number of hours you need to be on campus – with some combinations, it's possible to have all your classes take place on one or two days per week.
