Overview & facilities

This course is underaken on a part-time basis, is modular and enables opportunities to Accreditation for Prior Learning (APL) in modules or qualificatoins from previously approved Social Work post qualifying frameworks. APL arrangements are available for up to two thirds of this award for candidates who have successfully completed parts of the previous social work post qualifying framework. Candidates can only APL a maximum of 75 credits out of the potential 120 credits of the award. This means that the sequence of studying modules might vary between students. Staff advice will be available for those students who can provide certificated learning under the old framework. Each module can be accessed as a stand-alone module. On completion of this course you will receive the award, have enhanced employment prospects and be able to supervise a social work qualifying student on placement.
