    Developing a Succession Planning Culture

    Unexpected change is inevitable in organisations. That's why a dynamic succession planning process is essential: if you identify and develop employee potential early on, you'll be able to fill critical posts as needed. Our course will help you determine the succession approach that best suits your organisation, allowing you to retain – and recruit – the right people to meet your future business needs.

    This one-day course covers key areas relating to efficient succession planning:

    • Identifying and developing the skills and competencies the organisation needs to retain
    • Mapping the talent needs of the organisation against potential employees
    • Reviewing various succession planning methods
    • Developing your approach to succession planning
    • Selecting approaches that work in retaining people with required skills

    By the end of the session, you'll be able to:

    • Define and apply the concept of succession planning
    • Understand the importance of succession planning
    • Determine the criteria for deciding critical business areas for succession planning
    • Identify alternative approaches

    Completion of four of the workshops in this series and a Work-Based Learning Report leads to a Middlesex University Certificate in Personal and Professional Development NQF Level 4.
