Module Descriptions

Each course or unit is called a module in the UK. These consist of 24-weeks of teaching throughout the months spanning October to May. Each module is usually worth 30 UK credit points (equals 15 ECTS) and students are expected to select four modules. The module descriptions are available under the Course Content tab with each individual Middlesex undergraduate degree course. Please see example below:

Credit Transfer

Typically each module carries 30 UK credits which is equivalent to 15 ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) or 6-8 US credit hours. You will need to select four modules for a full load of classes for the year which totals 120 UK credits (60 ECTS).  Courses eligibility is subject to approval by your teachers both in the home and host Universities. Please speak with your home institution’s International Office about how the UK credits translate into your home university’s system. The agreement of transferring credit back to your home institution is made exclusively between you and your home institution.

Selecting a Middlesex Campus

Please note that the majority of modules are taught on the London Hendon campus. While specialist performing art and education modules are delivered on our London Trent Park campus including dance, drama, music, theatre arts, teaching and education and on our Archway campus including nursing, midwifery, complementary health, sport science and social work. Short stay students are advised to select classes from one of the three Middlesex campuses in London. The travel distance between the Trent Park Campus and the Hendon Campus can take up to an hour via public transport. Fee paying study abroad options are also available on our international campuses in Dubai and Mauritius – please contact the campuses directly.
