Our Study Abroad Programme is designed for international students to gain academic credit over a semester, full year or summer while being fully integrated into the university. The Study Abroad options

Summer courses: Both 15 and 30 Middlesex credit point modules are available which equals 7.5 and 15 ECTS. The length of the course varies from two to five weeks and some are available in the evening. For more information about available courses, see the Summer School pages.

Semester long courses: Usually worth 15 Middlesex credit points (7.5 ECTS each).

The semester abroad programme has a specialised portfolio of courses chosen from across the university curriculum which cover a broad range of subjects and disciplines from our schools of Business, Arts and Education, and Health and Social Sciences. Search our Semester Course Directory. We also offer unique London Internship options which allow you to gain industry experience alongside your regular university study.

You will be pre-registered for the regular full-time study load of classes which are usually transferable to your home institution and are equivalent to the recommended 12-16 US credits hours per semester.  You are free to select classes from across the various subject areas, with the exceptions of drama, theatre and dance subjects which require exclusivity within their specific areas.

Year-long courses: Usually worth 30 Middlesex credit points (15 ECTS). Middlesex has a large catalogue of 24-week-long subjects which are taught from September to May. The module descriptions are available under the Course Content heading for each Middlesex degree course. These courses are normally only available to students staying for the year. Spring semester students can not join year classes.
