Entry requirements

To enter one of our Academic English courses you will need a minimum of IELTS 4.5 (or equivalent). If you have a higher level of English than this you can enter the course at a later date.

Our courses help students improve their English to the levels required for entrance to Middlesex University degree programmes. For undergraduate students this is IELTS level 6.0 and for postgraduate students this is IELTS level 6.5.

You will need to supply us with proof of your English language level when you apply.

Student must have no less than IELTS 4.0 in any skill.

Student must have no less than Pearson 36 in any skill.

Student must have no less than TOEFL iBT Reading 8, Listening 13, Speaking 19, and Writing 17.
