Course overview:
An exciting one week intensive course for dancers, choreographers and film-makers interested in the practice and theory of 'dance on screen'. The day starts with a warm up, followed by various task based classes including choreographing for the camera, multi-camera shooting and editing. The course will help you to develop camera and editing skills and you will also be introduced to lighting, sound recording and directing. By the end of the week, working in small groups, you will create a short high quality video with the support of your teachers. The course will be led by Nic Sandilard, who has taught for 10 years on the Dance for Screen MA at the Palace Theatre, and Dominique Rivoal, a professional film-maker.
