Course overview:
This module explores the value of discrete event simulation within the context of business processes, both in service and manufacturing sectors. The aim will be to use this powerful tool to 1) plan for a new service or facility and 2) to explore opportunities for improvement in an existing service or facility. This will be achieved through the use of a commercial package, WITNESS. An Educational version of the software will be provided to all participants.
