Course overview:
This course introduces you to the craft and process of creative writing. Exercises carried out in class stimulate skills in characterisation, dialogue, narrative and imagery. Assignments carried out at home foster students’ own ideas and form an important part of the subsequent session. Students are encouraged to listen to each others work and to offer appreciation and critical support. By the end of the course you will have developed your own writing voice and produced a selection of prose, fiction and poetry.
