    Researching Journalism (Closed)

    This interesting and rewarding course provides an introduction to research skills for journalism.

    About the course

    The course will help you to develop the research skills critical to journalism and the media industries. At the beginning you will be introduced to a variety of research approaches. For example, the differences and similarities between academic research, market research, journalistic research and audience research will be highlighted, using case studies from various research projects. You will evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of different research methods and will conduct two small scale research projects.

    Coursework: 100% - research exercise (50%); research proposal (50%)
