    Summer School Accommodation

    Make yourself at home

    There are two halls of residence available to Summer School students from the 28 June: Usher Hall and Ivy Hall. Both offer excellent facilities, where you will quickly feel at ease alongside your fellow students. You will have a wide range of local shops, bars, cafes and parks nearby, while Central London is just a short trip away.

    Usher Hall, The Burroughs, Hendon, London NW4 4HE
    A bright, modern building in North London with the Hendon campus on your doorstep. All rooms have en suite bathrooms.

    Ivy Hall, 100 Cricklewood Lane, London NW2 2DQ
    A more traditional building with a mixture of en suite and shared bathrooms. It is about a 25-minute bus journey from campus and a short train or bus ride away from central London.

    All accommodation includes:

    • Single study bedrooms with desk and chair
    • Free Internet connection
    • Bed linen, pillow and duvet
    • One small towel
    • Shared kitchens, typically with cooker, fridge-freezer, kettle, toaster and microwave
    • Communal lounge
    • Option for en suite bathroom
    • Easy-to-use laundry facilities
    • Security staff and wardens on duty 24 hours a day

    Costs and booking

    Summer package students The cost of accommodation is included in the fee and the room booking will be made for you. You do not need to do anything further now - you will be shown to your room when you arrive.

    Cost per night

    Usher Hall (en suite) - £20.64
    Ivy Hall (en suite) - £19.51
    Ivy Hall (shared bathroom) - £17.93

    Applying for a room After applying for Summer School, you will receive an email offer letter including your Student Number. Once you have that number, you can book your accommodation using our online booking system. Please note, the system is not available on Google Chrome.

    You will need to pay a £250 deposit when you apply for a room. We accept the following credit and debit cards: Maestro, Switch, Visa Credit, MasterCard, Visa Debit (Delta) and Solo.

    An offer of a room will be made within three days of submitting your application and deposit, subject to availability. The offer will be sent as an email attachment, so check your email account (including junk/bulk mail) regularly. The full payment (less the deposit) must be made before you move into your room.

    As accommodation is limited, we suggest you book early to secure a place. If you experience problems, or if you do not receive an email within three days of your application, please email accomm@mdx.ac.uk or call +44 (0)20 8411 6121+44 (0)20 8411 6121.
