RAW - art and design degree show 2012

Degree show 2012This June over 500 final year art and design students will exhibit their best work and achievements at ‘RAW’, our annual art and design degree show.

The show takes place at the Old Truman Brewery, Brick Lane, in central London - a hive of emerging culture and creativity in the capital.

Students showing their work include Sony World Photography Award winner Asef Ali Mohammad, fashion student Olivia Ann May who recently received media attention for her designs for older people, and Clive Shaw, whose animation work was praised by The Simpson’s creator Matt Groening.

This year’s show will also feature product design and engineering students for the first time, including Kieron Scott-Woodhouse who wowed the technology industry with his bamboo mobile phone, Puja Varsani who flew the flag for Britain at World Skills and Ahmed Patel, one of a number of students who worked on an innovative project to create a video for pop star Ellie Goulding.

The public show will kick off on Saturday June 9th and be open for visitors until Monday June 11th

More than 5,000 people will attend the show to see the next generation of artists and designers. This will include creative industry employers, gallery owners, journalists, photographers, TV crews, friends, family and members of the general public.

The Old Truman Brewery, in east London's revolutionary arts and media quarter, is home to a range of creative businesses as well as independent shops, galleries, markets, bars and restaurants. It has become an artistic destination in its own right.

Opening hours of the public show are:
• Saturday 9th June: 10am-6pm
• Sunday 10th and Monday 11th June: 10am-7pm
