LABORATORY - Art and Design Degree Show 2013
This June over 500 final year art and design students will exhibit their best work and achievements at ‘LABORATORY’, our annual art and design degree show. It will feature exciting work from Animation, Fine Art, Fashion, Graphic Design, Illustration, Photography, Interior Architecture, furniture and Product Design.
More than 5,000 people will attend the show to see the next generation of artists and designers. Our exhibition is one of the biggest and best in London, over 5,000 people visit the show - including employers and luminaries from the creative and cultural industries, glitterati, gallery owners, journalists, photographers, TV crews, friends, family and members of the general public.

The Degree Show features work from 12 courses, by over 500 students. The unanimous verdict on last year’s show was that it was the best show ever, with many students being offered employment, internships and placements, as well work and being commissioned.

Our Fashion courses are for those who aspire to become the classic designer/maker/stylist, eager to break new ground in the world of fashion. Our graduate go onto work with such fashion houses as Givenchy, American Collections, Marni, Vivian Westwood, Matches, French Connection and Lanvin.
Case study- Fashion photography by Emma Barrow
The eye-catching fashion photographs are a tribute to Emma Barrow’s late Nan Sheila Barrow who was a fan of headscarves, as worn by the model in her photos. The collection of photos contains both colour and black and white images, and feature well known areas and icons in Plymouth.
UNPACKED showcases and exhibits the design work of the BA/BSc Product Design graduates from Middlesex University 2013
The group of Product Designers will be exhibiting at two places in 2013; at the Old Truman Brewery, Brick Lane, London from 6-10th June and at the prestigious New Designers exhibition, Business Design Centre, London 3-6th July.
The show will take place at the Old Truman Brewery on Brick Lane- a hive of emerging culture and creativity in the capital and home to a range of creative businesses as well as independent shops, galleries, markets, bars and restaurants. It has become an artistic destination in its own right.
