This module aims to present a view of management applied in an ever more competitive environment in which firms need to excel in the areas cost, quality, speed, innovation, service and sustainability. The module uses the four traditional management functions of planning, organising, leading, and controlling to examine how firms develop strategic value, build a dynamic organisation, mobilise people, learn and change.
This module aims to present the interrelationships of purchasing with the rest of the functional and system areas of the organization, with particular emphasis on the interface with marketing, logistics, supply chain management, and operations management. The module introduces students the purchasing function as an integral part of the transformation of raw materials and component parts into finished goods by utilizing materials, systems, information, and people in order to become strategic weapon in today s global market.
This module aims to present a broad and integrated view of strategic management in organisations; to outline and offer a range of critical perspectives on key concepts of strategy; to introduce generic strategies at the corporate, business and functional levels; to provide a range of analytical models and concepts that can be applied in assessing the strategic capability of an organisation and the environment in which it operates.
This module aims to: - develop an understanding about the integration of different business in creating value; - demonstrate the effects of planning in multiple organizations; - provide experience about the management of integrated business processes and develop a process understanding; present a integration of functional departments within and between different organization.
